I rejected 40 Bollywood offers: Poonam Pandey

She is just 20, no wonder her bold, stripping acts have left the nation in complete admiration for her. She is the current Internet sensation, its none other than Poonam Pandey, who had a candid chat with Nabanita Maji from OneIndia. Here are the excerpts from Poonam's interview:

Your stripping acts have fetched you International fame. Akon is following you on Twitter, Jonty Rhodes expressed his wish to meet you. How do you feel?
I feel extremely proud of myself. At the age of 20, it feels great to see something like this happening. I feel I am really lucky.

Your bold steps and stripping acts are even a taboo to discuss in a conservative country like India. While a part of Indian population admire you, another major chunk criticise you. What's your take on this?
People know me as a bold personality. I don't care about what they think or say about me. I just do what I think and feel is right. Whatever I do or write on Twitter, I feel happy with what I am doing, I am ok with that.

Why do you feel that you are on the celebrity hit list. Taslima Nasreen, Chitragada Singh have made negative comments against you on Twitter. What do you have to say on this?
They purposely use my name to gain some publicity. In fact, I think they should pay me royalty before using my name. I am happy that they are gaining some publicity by using my name.

Bollywood loves hot babes and their bold acts. Do you think that stripping is the easiest path that leads to Bollywood?
I don't believe so. If that's the case, I wouldn't have rejected 30-40 Bollywood offers till now. There are models who grab anything that comes on their way. But I am not amongst them. Unlike other models, I want to do something big. When I enter Bollywood, I will make it a point that I make it big in the industry.

Sunny Leone's entry in India has fetched her both fame and criticisms. Do you find her as your competitor?
I don't consider anyone as my competitor. Sunny deserves what she has gained in India as of now. She is a porn star, so what's wrong in that? She has been chosen for Jism 2 and I truly appreciate that.

Do you have any special someone in your life?
Currently, I only love camera and my work. I am completely in love with my work now. And as far as someone special in my life is concerned, lets see, maybe someday someone (laughs)...........

What are your future plans?
I have no such future plans as of now. I just like keep flowing with the rhythm of life. I am just loving this.
