To put things in the right perspective, Jodi Breakers is routine, cliched and formulaic, at least initially. Add lazy and unenergetic too. On the whole, Jodi Breakers has an engrossing and smartly executed second half that tilts scales in its favor. The right dose of drama and romance, besides a trendy, harmonious musical score, only act as toppings.

Jodi Breakers has a lot going for it: an unusual and interesting lead pair, fabulous outdoor location and foot-stomping music. But the movie is let down by a script that lacks fizz and connect. Director Ashwini Chaudhary's venture begins as a comedy but gradually morphs into romance and loses momentum in the second half. Not even Helen can perk things up. Romance as remorse doesn't work here.

Yahoo - Kunal Guha"s Rating: 2.5
After a speedy and entertaining first-half, the inevitable and predictable disaster occurs. Love. Sigh. And like a morning after the misadventures of a drunken night, it all seems to be going down. In fact, what is novel here is that love isn"t chased or forced but is allowed to brew over the entire runtime of the movie. So when it does reach a sweet spot, it sinks in with ease and is more believable and beautiful.

DNA India - Kanika Sikka's: Rating: 2
The characters carry an otherwise monotonous plot to make the movie not only tolerable, but seldom enjoyable. The second half is sorely predictable, yet the actors keep it going. Leave all expectations behind before entering the hall and you 'might" walk out with a smiling face.

NDTV - Piyali Dasgupta"s Rating: 1.5
The makers have said it's a film about dysfunctional relationships. It's neither a love story, nor a sex comedy. Song and dance is his chosen way.

Mid-Day - Shubha Shetty-Saha"s Rating: 1.5
A hatke love story this could have been. A fun, breezy comedy this could have been. But alas, for most parts Jodi Breakers ends up being a boring case of trying too hard to be everything but not quite reaching anywhere kind of a film.
