Yash Chopra, rightly called the King of Romance gave Bollywood some fantastic pieces of cinema.
Born on September 27, 1932 in Lahore, Yash Chopra was the youngest of eight children. His elder brother BR Chopra is now a successful director and producer. Yash Chopra came to Mumbai with Rs 200 in his pocket and his mother's blessings to make an identity in Bollywood.
Yash Chopra started his journey in the film industry as an assistant to IS Johar and then he assisted his brother. For his brother's production house he made his directorial debut in 1959 with Dhool Ka Phool and later directed many superhit films like Dharamputra, Waqt and Ittefaq.
In the year 1973, Yash Chopra started his own production company Yash Raj Films under which he produced 'Daag'. Later he made many action packed films like Deewar, Trishul, Kaala Patthar, Mashaal, Vijay.
