By Nabanita Maji

Don't we often think that Bollywood is like a cake-walk for the star kids? If you have such notion, here comes two new Bollywood star kids, who feel that success doesn't come for free, even in the case of a star child. Legendary filmmaker Shakti Samanta's grandson Aditya Samanta and Sanjay Dutt's niece Nazia Hussain are all set for their upcoming romantic film Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai. The film is produced by Ashim Samanta under banner Aradhana Films, which is an arm of Shakti Films promoted by Shakti Da. The film is directed by Narayan Singh and music by Anu Malik. During an exclusive interview with Nabanita Maji from Oneindia, budding stars Aditya and Nazia explains their hardships and experiences in order to start a filmy career.

Aditya, Since you hail from the Bollyood's Shakti Samanta family, are people expecting very high from you as an actor?

Aditya: Yes, the pressure will always be there in the case of any newcomer. But, its not anything different. Its difficult for any newcomer to make a position in the industry and live up to the people's expectations.

Nazia, Do you get a special treatment from the industry people since you are Sanjay Dutt's niece?

Honestly, I am a very normal person. Though Sanjay Dutt is my uncle, but it's nothing very different for me as such. Its like any other niece and uncle relationship. In fact, it's like any other family. Sanjay uncle never keeps a check on what I'm doing and what I'm not. Éverything is pretty casual.

Tell us something about your film Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai? What are your roles in the movie?

Nazia: I play Karisma Rathore and Aditya plays Karan Chaudhary in the film. I go abroad for a summer course. I would meet Aditya there accidentally. There would be an instant vibes and likings that would gradually turn into love between both of us. We come from the same city. The film then show how things go on. The film is about the equation of love and family values. Hence, it's a complete family movie.

Aditya: Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai is a modern day Romeo and Juliet, but its very contemporary. You would just love it and get engrossed in the film.

Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai will release this August? How excited are you both?

Aditya: I am nervous but, excited. It's not only me, but many others have worked very hard for the film. Hence, I hope the film goes well. I can't explain, but there's a lot of tension in me, after all it's my first film.

What are your expectation from the film?

Aditya: The expectations are definately very high, since we all have worked very hard for it. The film has love, family bondings, emotions in it. It's a combination of so many things. Hence, I wish people likes it and it goes well.

Nazia: Shakti Samanta's banner Aradhana Films have brought a bevy of iconic films like Amar Prem, Howrah Bridge, China Town, Aradhana and many more. For me, it's a great honour to be a part of such a great banner. Hence, I do have a lot of expectations from Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai.

Aditya, Since Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai is again a true Shakti Samanta style film with great music, the legacy will continue. So, is it a huge challenge and responsibility on your shoulder to carry the legacy successfully?

Aditya: Yes, it's a great responsibility as well as a challenge to me. I hope to carry the legacy successsfully.

Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai has great music. Tell us something about the songs and the music?

Aditya and Nazia: The melody is just amazing. The music is done by Anu Malik ji and truly, he is a genius. Interestingly, the music blends so well with the entire story and the concept of the film. The songs are very soothing and heart-touching.

What chemistry do you both share with each other onscreen as well as off screen?

Aditya: It was my pleasure working with Nazia. She has already done a film earlier, so, I got to learn a lot from her. She was very helpful on the sets. Hence, we share great chemistry and friendship.

Nazia: It was fabulous working with Aditya. We had a lot of masti during the shooting of the film. It was just amazing on the sets.

Bollywood is currently on a high. There are the big names in the industry like the Khans, the Kapoors, the Roshans and many more. Do you both think that as newcomers, it's a tough time for you guys to compete with them?

Nazia: No wonder, the Khans and Kapoors are the biggest names of the industry. They are in fact ruling the roost. Why? Because, people love them. They have worked hard to gain the highest position. Public blindly accept the Khans, the Kapoors and the Roshans. In our case, it will take time for us to reach that position.

Aditya: For a newcomer like me, competition is tough. But, we are lucky that we have got this golden oppurtunity to show our talent. Even the Khans and the Kapoors too started off like freshers. Isn't it? Why they are the best today? Because of their hard work. Hence, even we need to do a lot of hardwork to gain that position.

Do you think Bollywood is all about the Khans only?

Aditya: It's not only about the Khans. Everything keeps on changing. We have to work harder and harder. And, then, it solely depends on the public whether they would accept us or not.

Your dream actor and actress?

Aditya: Vidya Balan.

Nazia: Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan.

Upcoming projects.

Nazia: I am reading a few scripts. Can't comment anything now.

Aditya: Nothing has been finalised yet. But, hope to get more offers after Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai.
