Nudity and skin show in the country, and most particularly in Bollywood is not a story of the present alone. While actresses showing off their skin and flaunting their body is mainly associated with young stars of today, the truth is that even veteran yesteryears actresses have indulged in skin show, though it has been very subtle in the past. Veena Malik:
Veena Malik's alleged nude picture on FHM mens' magazine led to a huge controversy. Veena was slammed by her country men and even her own family disowned her.

Kashmira Shah:
Kashmira Shah displayed her nude back and even part of her breast in the movie Revathi.

Madhu Sapre:
Model Madhu Sapre was the centre of controversy when she posed nude with her then boyfriend Milind Soman for Tuff Shoes.

Dimple Kapadia:
Dimple Kapadia's towel slipping act in Sagar (1985) was perhaps one of the most sensual wardrobe malfunction that happened in Bollywood cinema!

Zeenat Aman:
Zeenat Aman showed off her breasts in a see-through saree in Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978). Raj Kapoor, the maker of the film went to the extent of saying, “You will come to watch Zeenat's tits but will forget about them and remember only the movie by the time you leave the theatre.”

Mandakini:
Mandakini, who was later known for her relationship with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim exposed her upper half in Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1986). The actress was also shown breast feeding a baby in the movie. Ram Teri Ganga Maili was one of the biggest hit of the time and people thronged the theatre to catch a glimpse of Mandakini!

Mamta Kulkarni posed topless for Stardust magazine in 1990 and suddenly Mamta became the talk of town and controversy queen. Mamta managed to garner a lot of publicity, even though most of it was negative! Thanks to Mamta Kulkarni, Stardust sold many copies!
