NDTV – IANS Rating: 4
Vicky Donor is original and thoroughly engaging. It makes you feel blessed and blissed.

Bollywood Hungama - Taran Adarsh’s Rating: 3.5
Vicky Donor is a small film with a big heart. The makers have had the courage to bring a diverse issue out in the open, narrating a daringly different story without getting preachy. Witty, funny and also emotional, Vicky Donor is forward-thinking, progressive commercial cinema which vastly enlightens and hugely entertains!

Hindustan Times - Anupama Chopra’s Rating: 3.5
Vicky Donor is one of those rare Hindi films that work purely on the strength of writing and performances. There are no crutches here of stars, sets, styling or foreign locations. But director Shoojit Sircar and writer Juhi Chaturvedi create a heart-felt, keenly observed comic-drama. Sadly, Vicky Donor derails in the second half - the climax is flat-out foolish - but until then, it's great fun.

Times of India - Gaurav Malani’s Rating: 3.5
With its endless spirit and 'spunk', Vicky Donor brings to life an original, untold and entertaining story. Like sperm donors, there's always a shortage of good films in Bollywood. So do not miss this one!

CNN-IBN - Ritu V Singh’s Rating: 3.5
Vicky Donor is a lighthearted fun film, which meets expectations. It definitely deserves a watch.

Glamsham - Martin D'Souza’s Rating: 3.5
Vicky Donor is not your typical Bollywood film. It is different. Daringly different. John Abraham has done well to partner as producer in this film that should generate a good Box Office return!

OneIndia’s Rating: 3.5
On the whole, the movie is a light-hearted tale and a sure-shot crowd puller with its controversial subject of sperm donation, peppy music, fresh star cast and huge entertainment.

Koimoi - Mrigank Dhaniwala’s Rating: 3.5
The novelty and sensitive treatment of the subject; the comedy; the performances are good. The second half, which plays out like an ordinary love drama; the lack of tear jerking moments are bad. Overall, Vicky Donor is an entertaining fare.

Rediff - Sukanya Verma’s Rating: 3
Vicky Donor loses some of its sperm, er steam, in the second half when the sentimental, ethical reasoning creeps in, it feels a bit avoidable and protracted. Except by then you have begun to care too much for these characters and its unassuming vibe to create a ruckus.

Mid-Day - Shaheen Parkar’s Rating: 3
Vicky Donor is one of those films that yet again affirm that you don’t need big stars with hefty remunerations nor do you have to cross the Atlantic to scour exotic locations.

Live Mint - Udita Jhunjhunwala
As it is, Vicky Donor is a safe investment.
