After
having
actors
like
Zarine
Khan
and
Jacqueline
Fernandez
as
showstoppers
in
the
past,
designers
Riyaz
and
Reshma
Gangji
have
chosen
Yuvika
Chaudhary
to
take
the
final
bow
with
them.
She
is
very
cute,
sensitive
and
has
all
the
qualities,
which
best
speak
of
the
Truth
collection.
Moreover,
Yuvika
happens
to
be
the
face
of
Gitanjali,
with
whom
they
are
presenting
this
collection.
This
is
his
forté
and
there
is
no
way
designer
Riyaz
is
going
to
digress
from
what
he
is
best
at
-
wedding
couture.
And
just
like
every
time,
even
this
edition
of
the
Bangalore
Fashion
Week
will
see
the
designer
duo
Riyaz
and
Reshma
present
their
latest
bridal
collection,
Truth.
"I'm
sure
people
will
love
this
line.
When
I
walk
down
the
streets,
I
notice
there
are
stores
selling
copies
of
my
work.
Obviously,
they
are
copying
it
because
my
work
is
good
and
people
are
asking
for
it," expresses
Riyaz.
The
designer
continues,
"In
the
last
20
years
of
my
career,
I
must
have
done
around
200
shows
and
have
realised
no
matter
how
modern
we
are,
when
it
comes
to
weddings,
everything
is
traditional.
I
personally
believe
that
a
wedding
is
not
just
about
the
bride
and
the
groom,
but
a
family
affair,
where
parents
have
their
own
dreams
about
their
sons/daughters
ensemble.
Keeping
all
this
in
mind,
we
created
Truth,
which
I
would
call
fashion
re-invented
in
the
form
of
a
heritage
collection."
Riyaz
adds,
"It's
all
typical
Indian
wedding
colours
like
red,
gold,
maroon
and
green
among
others.
In
this
collection,
you
will
see
a
little
bit
of
velvet,
georgette
and
jacquard.
But
I
have
also
tried
to
use
Indian
fabrics
sourced
from
weavers
from
small
towns
in
Kolkata
and
Bhagalpur
among
other
states.
I
think
this
gives
us
a
chance
to
get
to
know
and
encourage
our
weavers.
I
ensure
that
25%
of
the
material
used
in
all
our
collections
is
handloom
and
hand-woven
fabric."
