Often considered as the epitome of beauty, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood today. She is a rare combo of beauty and brains, and has been the most popular face of Indian cinema globally.

Born to Mangalorean parents, Aishwarya Rai was raised in Mumbai. Before entering films, Aishwarya worked as a model. She started modelling at a very young age and shot her first commercial for Camelin pencils when she was in 9th standard. She became a household name after she shot the famous Pepsi ad campaign with Aamir Khan. And her next step was winning the Femina Miss India title and later the Miss World crown.

Rai married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007. Their love story began on the sets of JP Dutta's Umrao Jaan. It is said that after the premiere of the film Guru, Abhishek Bachchan proposed marriage to Aishwarya. In November 2011, Aishwarya delivered a baby girl Aaradhya.
