Over the years, we have seen how beautifully Bollywood movies have portrayed Karwa Chauth. Karwa Chauth is a festival celebrated by the Hindu women in North India. On this day, married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety of their husbands.
After completing an entire day's fast, women first look at the rising moon and then at their respective husbands. They most often use a sieve and see the moon and their husbands through it. Just like in the reel life, Bollywood celebrities celebrated this festival on Tuesday, October 22.
Karwa Chauth is considered to be a romantic festival, symbolizing the love between a husband and wife. We have seen this famous festival being portrayed in films like Bagban, Biwi No 1, Kabhi Kushi Khabi Gham, DDLJ and many more.
While many B-Town wives kept calm and waited for the chand, Kareena Kapoor had declared that she will not be fasting for her husband Saif Ali Khan as she thinks that she does not need to starve to prove her love.
