Cannes Film Festival 2013: Big B, Vidya Balan, Sonam grace the red carpet
The much-awaited Cannes season has finally arrived. The 66th edition of the Cannes Film Festival 2013 opened with Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby. As expected Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mallika Sherawat, Sonam Kapoor, Freida Pinto had graced the red carpet at the do.
Vidya Balan made her debut at the Cannes this year, as one of the esteemed jury members at the do, along with the other jury members Nicole Kidman, Ang Lee, Christoph Waltz, Cristian Mungiu, Lynne Ramsay, Naomi Kawase, Daniel Auteuil and the head of the jury - Steven Spielberg.
Amitabh Bachchan, who has done a cameo in the film The Great Gatsby, was seen along with his Hollywood heavyweight co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan. But, it was surprising that Cannes' hot favourite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was not spotted at the big day show.

Here at Cannes for opening of Great Gatsby and the energy and excitement of International greats in the field of entertainment .. un forgetable !!"
