Check Out: Here's the nomination list for IIFA, 2013

The much-awaited 14th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, 2013 kick started last night (July 5) with several Bollywood biggies gracing the IIFA green carpet. Like every year, even this year's IIFA awards have covered the best and the most loved movies, actors, directors etc in it's nomination list.

Reportedly, Anurag Basus critically acclaimed and commercially successful movie Barfi is leading the nominations of this year. Featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the leads, Barfi have bagged the maximum of 13 nominations. Following these, the others films like Vicky Donor, Gangs of Wasseypur and Agneepath too have acquired their respective positions in the list.

As for the best director award, the list is quite interesting. Starting from Barfi's Anurag Basu, to Vicky Donor's Shoojit Sircar and a few others are competing for the director's trophy. Tigmanshu Dhulia – Paan Singh Tomar

Anurag Kashyap – Gangs of Wasseypur 1

Yet another film that takes Anurag Basu under the nomination list of 'Best Director' at IIFA 2013. The movie received critical and commercial acclaim by the audience as well as the industry.

Shoojit Sircar – Vicky Donor

Shoojit Sircar directed the movie Vicky Donor. This movie is a total Bollywood comedy-drama and came out beautifully. Another flick that is nominated for 'Best Director' at IIFA 2013.

Vicky Donor

Vicky Donor is a total Bollywood comedy-drama film starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Annu Kapoor in the lead roles. IT is directed by Shoojit Sircarand stood for 'Best Fim' at IIFA 2013

Barfi

Barfi, directed by Anurag Basu is undoubtedly one of the good films of 2012. Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz played a lead role in the movie. The film is nominated under the 'Best Film' category at IIFA 2013.

English Vinglish

Another hit of 2012, English Vinglish is a story of a housewife Shashi and her quest to learn English. The movie was directed by Gauri Shinde and a well-deserved movie to be in the nomination list of 'Best Film' at IIFA 2013.

Gangs of Wasseypur-1

Gangs of Wasseypur-1 received critical and commercial acclaim by the audience. The movie revolved around the Indian crime, power, and politics. Another movie that is in the nomination list for 'Best Film'.

Kahaani

A movie directed by Sujoy Ghosh is an Indian thriller and stars Vidya Balan in the main lead. The movie is about a pregnant woman searching for her husband in Kolkatta. This is another movie that is nominated for 'Best Film' at IIFA 2013.

 

 

Paan Singh Tomar

Paan Singh Tomar revolves around a true story of a runner who turned into a rebel. This film was directed by Tigmanshu Dhuliaand stars Irrfan Khan. IIFA 2013 decided to nominate this film for the 'Best Film' category.

Talaash

Talaash is a suspense thriller with a fascinating story and directed by Reema Kagti. The movie stars Amir Khan and is another nominee under the list of 'Best Films' at IIFA 2013.

Shahrukh Khan – Jab Tak Hai Jaan

SRK this year got nominated for his movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Must say, he is a strong contender for the 'Best Leading Role (Male)' at IIFA 2013.

Ayushmann Khurrana – Vicky Donor

A fun filled movie, Vicky Donor deserved to be in the nomination list. Ayushmann Khurrana played a leading role in the movie and listed in the 'Best Leading Role (Male)' at IIFA 2013.

Hrithik Roshan – Agneepath

Hrithik Roshan is nominated for his performance in Agneepath. Heplayed the lead role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhanin the movie and stands for the title of 'Best Leading Role (Male)' at IIFA 2013.

Irrfan Khan – Paan Singh Tomar

A movie based on the real life of Paan Singh Tomar took Irrfan Khan in the nomination list of 'Best Leading Role (Male)' at IIFA 2013.

 

 

Manoj Bajpayee – Gangs of Wasseypur 1

Manoj Bajpayee was another nominee of 'Best Leading Role (Male)' at IIFA 2013. He got nominatedfor his movie Gangs of Wasseypur 1.

Ranbir Kapoor – Barfi!

Ranbir Kapoor got nominated for the movie Barfi. He played a role of a mute and deaf man who is from Darjeeling. His role in the movie was much loved by the audience which took him to the nomination list of 'Best Leading Role (Male)' at IIFA 2013.
