10 Unknown facts about late actress Jiah Khan
Bollywood's young, sultry beauty Jiah Khan committed suicide at her residence in Mumbai's Juhu area, on Monday night. As per reports, the 25-year-old actress was found hanging at her flat in Sagar Sangeet Building in the posh Juhu area of northwest Mumbai around midnight.
It is said that Jiah's mother and sister were out, when Jiah, who was all alone in her house had taken the extreme step. The news of her death was first reported by actress Dia Mirza through a social networking site around 1.45 am. Jiah Khan was considered as one of the youngest and most promising actresses of Bollywood.
Jiah Khan was born in New York, and she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, though she quit upon receiving a movie offer. Khan made her debut with the controversial movie Nishabd, that featured Amitabh Bachchan in the leads. The film was released in March 2007 to mixed reviews. Khan was noted for her confidence, attitude and sex appeal. She also got a "Filmfare Best Debutant" nomination for her performance.
