Late actress Jiah Khan's boyfriend Suraj Pancholi finally receives a breather, after he was let free from the jail yesterday. Pancholi, who was arrested for allegedly abetting Jiah's suicide, was released, after the Bombay High Court granted him bail.
Reportedly, The Bombay High Court has ordered Suraj Pancholi to pay a surety of Rs.50,000, surrender his passport and report to police whenever required for investigations. As per the media reports, the Bombay High Court had observed that Suraj cannot be held solely responsible for the "impulsive" act of Jiah Khan. The HC had observed the letter (on the basis of which Suraj was arrested), purportedly written by Jiah and recovered from her house, could not be taken as a suicide note as it is not addressed to anyone and was undated.
Suraj Pancholi, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was in a relationship with late Jiah Khan. After six days of Jiah's death, Jiah's mother Rabiya Amin Khan gave a six later suicide note to police. In the suicide note Jiah mentioned about the physical and mental trauma her boyfriend gave her when she was alive. Jiah also wrote about rape and abortion in the note. After getting this suicide note, the Mumbai police arrested Suraj for abetting Jiah's suicide.
