Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was born in Mangalore, Karnataka. Her father, Krishnaraj Rai, is a marine biologist, while her mother, Brindya Rai, is a housewife. Her elder brother, Aditya Rai, is a merchant navy engineer and he also produced Hindi film Dil Ka Rishta (2003), which starred Aishwarya in the lead role.
Soon after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's birth, her family moved to Mumbai, where she went to Arya Vidya Mandir Secondary School. When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was studying at Jai Hind, her English professor published her photographs in a fashion magazine.
She became a household name after she shot the famous Pepsi ad campaign with Aamir Khan. And her next step was winning the Femina Miss India title and later the Miss World crown. Aishwarya won the Miss World Pageant in 1994.
After winning the crown, Aishwarya was showered with tempting Bollywood and Hollywood offers. She found international fame from the Hollywood movie Bride and Prejudice. Actor Julia Roberts billed her as the world's most beautiful woman.
