Yesteryear superstars Hema Malini and Dharmendra fell in love on the sets of movie Tum Haseen Main Jawan released in the year 1970. To marry Dharmendra, Hema rejected several marriage proposals from famous actors like Sanjeev Kumar and Jeetendra.
Hema Malini wrote an autobiography in which she mentioned the reason why she started liking Dharmendra was because he was strong and silent like her mother. Hema also finds Dharmendra very romantic.
Hema Malini revealed on Indian Idol 6 that she fell in love with Dharmendra after she saw shooting for this particular song in Nasik and performing his signature 'Yamla pagla' step. She also feels that Dharmendra is the original dancer of Bollywood and everybody copies his signature steps.
