Nothing did save the fate of director Apoorva Lakhia's movie Zanjeer remake, that fell flat miserably at the cash counter collections. Not to blame the audience, the film itself was so lame and disappointing that a few film critics even did not think twice before rating the movie nil, A BIG ZERO.
Not to deny, the expectations were equally high from the
Zanjeer remake. After all, it is the remake of the 1973
Zanjeer, that featured the legendary Amitabh Bachchan and
Jaya Bachchan in leads. Hence, when the announcement was made that
the South star Ram Charan Teja dared to step into the
Big B's shoes, that too for a Bollywood debut, it had set many
tongues wagging in the B-Town. The reason for this was obvious,
since people started wondering if Cherry could do justice to Mr
Bachchan's iconic role.
After the film hit the screens this Friday, most of the film
critics said that the Zanjeer remake was an utter blunder.
Some even said that this one is "an unforgivably bad remake". The
Zanjeer remake falters big time due to several reasons. As
