Superstar Akshay Kumar has given a number of hit films in his long and illustrious career, but the star looks lost in the recent past. Akshay aka Khiladi Kumar who is known for his action and daring stunts has disappointed his fans from quite sometime.
Akshay made his Bollywood debut with the film Saugandh in the year 1991, but tasted success in his second film Khiladi, released a year later. The action actor didn't had a brilliant start at the early stage of his career as few films didn't do well at the box office.
Over the years the actor has developed a his reputation as most bankable stars in the B-town but disappointed the audiences with the flops like Yeh Dillagi, Jai Kishan, Amaanat, Zakhmi Dil and Ikke Pe Ekka after tasting initial success.
Akshay was going through a low time in his career when he was offered the supporting role under Yash Raj Films' Dil Toh Pagal Hai, starring Shahrukh Khan. Film was one the biggest hits of the year 1997 and Akshay received the nomination for the Best Supporting Actor's role.
But doing a cameo in DTPH didn't help Akshay as he failed to impress the audience with his comic timing in the film Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi. Bad luck continued for a long time as the actor had no releases for nearly two years post Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi's flop show. Now, it was rumoured that the actor's career has come to an end. But, the trained martial arts fighter was in no mood to give up.
Akshay then decided to present himself in a new avatar by tickling the audiences' funny bone through comedy. He was appreciated for his comedy in films like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Mujhse Shadi Karogi and many more. But once again after making a successful come back on the big screen, Akshay made a mistake while signing films. His much talked about film Chandni Chowk To China failed badly at the box office in the year 2009.
