Bollywood celebrities have become experts in lying, they can cook up a story at the drop of a hat. Be it anything, their age, their surgeries, their love life, their cat fights; whatever it may be they have a lie ready, in fact they can be tagged as the biggest celebrity liars who tell biggest celebrity lies.
But we have to agree on one thing, the male brigade is comparatively more open about their lives. They are vocal about their feelings, their fights and basically everything that is connected to them. Bollywood men basically carry their heart on their sleeves. Say Ranveer Singh for example, who openly agreed about his fondness for Deepika Padukone where as the leggy lass is still stuck to the denial statement.

Well we are tired of pestering them to tell the truth for we know they are big liars. Every person in this universe knows that it's bad manners to ask a women's age but that doesn't mean that when one does ask, you lie with a straight face. Many actresses claim to be much younger than their real age. Some actresses are stuck in the same number for the past five or so years. Really? You think we are fools?
Well the glamour world does seem to be a very complex place. So it's not a surprise that these female celebrities lie about a lot of things - especially about their age and their relationships.
Here are some of the shocking lies we've heard from celebrities...
Anushka Sharma:
When Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh were spotted together several times, she constantly denied having anything to do with the actor. And now that they've broken up and Ranveer has moved on to date Deepika Padukone, she goes on record saying "If I had to, I'd date Ranveer." Weird! Now she seems to repeating the same old with current beau Virat Kohli.
Mallika Sherawat:
Well Mallika Sherawat doesn't exactly lie, but she doesn't bother to deny the rumours around her either, leading us to believe false link-ups, like the one with Antonio Banderas. She's known for hob-nobbing with famous Hollywood celebs just to mislead us.
Kangna Ranaut:
Almost all female actors lie about their age. And Kangna was no exception. However, she was caught, when it was revealed in her passport that her age is 28 and not 22 like she claimed to be. The incident took place in 2009 which makes the actress 33 now.
Priyanka Chopra:
In Feb 2011, when tax officers came calling to Priyanka Chopra's house, Shahid Kapoor who was apparently clad only in his shorts answered the door. And this is what PC said in her defense "Shahid was in my apartment because I was scared of tax officials. I called him as he lives in my neighbourhood." Yeah right, Priyanka!
Ameesha Patel:
Actress Ameesha Patel claimed to have bought an apartment next to Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow Pratiksha. In reality, she had only rented it. The false claims led the owners to bar her from entering the premises.
Katrina Kaif:
Here's another actress who has lied about her age. In an interview, Katrina said that she was eight years old when the Berlin Wall fell. The Berlin Wall fell in 1989 which means she was born in 1981. But on record, she has put her birth year as 1984. Anyone know Katrina's real age?
Deepika Padukone:
Some celebrities make absolutely absurd statements. Deepika once at a press conference said, "I have never been on a date." Whaatt??? And now apparently she is not dating Ranveer singh too!
