Bollywood Most Delayed Projects

The movie making process is not an easy one, it takes a lot of time for the director and producer to finalise the star cast, the script and location etc. Once this job is done, the shooting starts and again the filming process will consume time depending on the storyline. But a number of Bollywood projects get delayed for months and sometimes years.

For example Sanja Leela Bhansali's conceptualized Bajirao Mastani when he was filming Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, but the project never took of as he was waiting for the right time. His ideal pair for the lead roles were Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai but due to their bad break, Sanjay could never cast them and so the project could never see the day light.

He even cast Kareena Kapoor opposite Salman, but finally with the success of Ram-Leela, Sanjay could again see his Bajirao Mastani in Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The project is finally taking off so we are eagerly awaiting the realease of this magnum opus.
Similarly Shuddi too is stuck due to casting problems, Karan Johar wanted Hrihtik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in the leas but Hrithik's constant health problem has put the movie on back burner. It is said that owing to Ranveer and Deepika's on screen success even Karan has decided to cast them as the lead in Shuddi but with Sanjay's movie taking off, the lead pair is not able to provide dates to Karan.
