International Dance Day: Top Dance Movies
Dance in Bollywood movies are must, for they are like Siamese twins. A Bollywood movie can never exist without a dance number in it. On this International Dance Day lets jog down the memory lane and list out all the Bollywood Movies that were based on dance exclusively.
International Dance Day was introduced in 1982 by the International Dance Council CID and is celebrated on April 29 every year. It is the day when a French dancer and ballet master Jean-Georges Noverre was born.
Choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza even made a full-fledged dance film ABCD which also happens to be India's first 3D dance film. Bollywood is known for its song-n-dance, and dance films have become popular over the years. We list down some of the most popular dance films in Bollywood over the years.
ABCD
Remo's ABCD movie was a super hit 3D movie. It had Prabhudeva in the lead and the best dancers in the country in its star cast. This was based on how dancers from low middle class family fight it out and win a major dance competition.
ABCD 2
ABCD 2 is a sequel to ABCD and is set to release later in the year. This movie is based completely on dance and will again have Prabhudeva in the lead and is directed by Remo.

Ram Gopal Varma's Naach was based on a struggling choreographer trying to get into Bollywood, the character was played by Antara Mali.
Chance Pe Dance
Chance Pe Dance was another movie based on dance reality shoe. It had dancing superstar Shahid Kapoor in the lead.
