But yet she has managed to have a successful career in Bollywood with many directors casting her in films. In fact her bold attitude became very famous and a trademark aspect of Kareena Kapoor. Latest buzz is the director Rohit Shetty with whom she had done Singham Returns has cast her in yet another movie.
The director had been working on a script of SRK starrer during the filming of Chennai Express and rumours suggest Kareena may star in it, remeber the actor said he could make a film called Lady Singham and Kareena would be the actress, well on enquiring if these rumours are true the director said, "Not the next one but yeah for sure. Meanwhile the actress is busy planning her second anniversary with hubby Saif Ali Khan and if reports are to be believed then they will be celebrating their anniversary at Brangelina's wedding venue. An insider revealed, ""Saifeena has chosen Saint-Emilion as the location for their anniversary break. This is the same place that shot into prominence recently because Brangelina got hitched in this wine-rich region on August 23. The chateaus surrounded by vineyards are popular with star guests."
With so many things happening in her life, everyonce in a while she does manage to shock us with her reactions. While her prideful statements are shocking, they manage to be equally entertaining as well. So let us reminiscence the Kapoor's gal bold 'I care a damn' attitude through her famous but not so famous wtf statements that shocked us.
"I feel honoured and glad to give work to other people. I hope they become (actresses) stars as I have rejected big films."
"My sister might have made her career with him, but I don't want to. I'll dare to be different. At least for the next four years, I don't see myself working with a David Dhawan. I'm not keen on that kind of cinema. I only want to work with good makers."
"I am at a stage in my life where my priorities are different...I am married and I would like to give time to my family. I would not go out for three to four months. That is the reason why I refused Zoya's film (Dil Dhadakne Do). I couldn't go on a cruise for three months. I want to do a film which will work according to my time. I am very clear about that. Now I like to work with people who are willing to adjust their schedules according to my needs."
"Mr Obama too should be discussing this wedding. I am sure he would know that Saif and Kareena are getting married, as that is what the whole of India is talking about. It is terribly annoying and now we have given up on clarifying it. We are in a committed relationship, and when we are getting married is only for Saif and I to know."
"Sanjay Bhansali is a confused director. He is a person who does not stand by his word. He doesn't have any morals and principles in life. Tomorrow, even if he is the next Raj Kapoor or Guru Dutt, and my films don't do well and if I'm a flop actress, I will still not ever work with him."
"With due respect, I don't think there is any actress who can pull off a de-glam look better than Karisma."
"Madhur and the film corporation were very keen that I should be in Heroine. The film was written for me originally."
"Heroine is far bigger and better than Fashion."
"I'm not at all a Salman fan. I don't like him; he's a very bad actor. I tell him that he hams all the time."
"For me, 2014 is all about being happy and content, spending time with my husband, as well as saying no to friends (for acting in movies). This is something that I haven't done in the past."
"My film-makers have accepted me. They know I'm in a league of my own. Madhuri Dixit gave her first hit after nine years. Sridevi never had a historical hit. And yet they were the top actresses because they were immensely talented. The same goes for me too."
