Shahrukh Khan is a global icon who is famous all over the world. His movies don't just make money here but are also the highest money grossing Hindi films abroad. Shahrukh Khan not only has friends but also has many Hollywood celebrities as his fans. Each star there is dying to work with the 'Badshah Of Bollywood'. When news of Heather Graham doing Dhoom 3 was doing the rounds, she came forward and clearly stated that she would not be doing any Bollywood movie if Shahrukh Khan is not starring in it. Such is the power of his stature in Hollywood. He has previously collaborated with Akon for his movie Ra. One and has even conducted an television interview with Lady Gaga.

Even when american rapper Armando Christian Perez, popular by his stage name Pitbull, shook a leg with Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan during the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League (IPL) in Kolkata last year, he was seen appreciating the actor a lot. SRK even taught him a few Bollywood moves but the musician now seems to want more than that.

On asking if he would work in an international project, he said, "Given the state of affairs that I am in and the kind of films that I do, I hope that one day I can participate in a Hindi film that is internationally acclaimed and accepted. That day is not far off -- it may happen with me or with some other actor. As for Indian actors making a mark internationally, of course there is an acceptance of Indian talent on the global stage and that's also because of the huge diaspora. Every time I travel to the West, I do meet people who discuss potential international projects with me. But I wouldn't just get into an international film because it's international. I am extremely happy making a Hindi film which Insha'Allah ("God willing") will be accepted by the whole world. "
