The Shaukeens: 10 Reasons You Have To Watch Akshay Kumar-Lisa Haydon Starrer

The Shaukeens is releasing tomorrow and it stars hottie Lisa Haydon in the lead. Akshay Kumar who is co-producing the movie is also doing a special appearance, an extended cameo role of an alcoholic superstar.

This movie is a modern take and official remake of 1982 film, Shaukeen which had Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt, A. K. Hangal and Rati Agnihotri in lead roles. It also starred Mithun Chakraborty whose role is being essayed by Akshay Kumar in the remake.

The Shaukeens is a story of three lecherous old men who decide to go away, in this movie Mauritius, for a while to have some enjoyment in their lives. This is when they come across the hot Lisa Haydon. The three old men get in hilarious situations with Ahana (Lisa Haydon) as they try to impress her and try to get lucky with her, oblivious to the fact that she is head over heel in love and obsessed with an alcoholic superstar, Akshay Kumar.

Director Abhishek Sharma has made a funny and entertaining comedy movie that is produced by Ashvin Varde, Murad Khetani and Akshay Kumar. The script of this movie has been written by Tigmanshu Dhulia who has directed films like Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Paan Singh Tomar and Bullet Raja.

Several big stars like Kareena Kapoor, Rati Agnihotri, Abhishek Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia and Suniel Shetty are doing cameo roles in the movie, making it all the more exciting. It may not one be the biggest commercial movie of 2014 but it was definitely the most anticipated comedy movie of 2014 as the original was a huge hit during 1980's.

The movie was made on a budget of Rs 36 crores and has been shot in picturesque locations like Mauritius. All in all this movie seems like the choice of movie this weekend for it is funny, entertaining and enjoyable, which is what we need to shoo away the work stress.
