Finally
a
sigh
of
relief
from
the
torture
of
Sajid
Khan!
Actor-director
Sajid
Khan
admits
to
being
approached
by
the
makers
of
"Shaandar" to
play
a
Sindhi
businessman
in
the
film
but
says
he
declined
the
offer.
It's
been
over
a
month
since
director
Vikas
Bahl
started
looking
for
the
right
cast
to
play
the
role
of
a
businessman.
Apparently,
Vikas
also
offered
the
role
to
Karan
Johar
but
the
later
turned
it
down.
"Yes,
I
was
offered
the
film,
but
no,
I'm
not
doing
Shaandar.
I'm
busy
scripting
my
next
film,
a
youthful
romantic-comedy," Sajid
Khan
said
on
the
rumours
of
him
being
cast
in
Shaandar.
Sajid
Khan's
last
release
Humshakals
was
a
debacle.
The
slapstick
comedy
got
a
thumbs
down
from
the
movie
buffs
and
flopped
miserably.
Moreover,
the
movie
also
created
a
controversy
when
its
co-stars
Bipasha
Basu
and
Saif
Ali
Khan
showed
their
dis-interest.
While
Bips
backed
off
during
promotions
itself,
Chote
Nawab
woke
up
from
sleep
after
the
movie
released
and
was
badly
criticised.
While
it
is
still
unknown
who
will
play
the
Sindhi
businessman
in
Shaandar,
Alia
Bhatt
and
Shahid
Kapoor
are
already
on
board
to
play
the
lead
roles.
This
is
the
first
time
we
will
see
young
Alia
Bhatt
and
handsome
hunk,
Shahid
Kapoor
playing
on-screen.
The
Highway
actress
is
a
big
fan
of
Shahid
and
fell
in
love
with
him
after
watching
Ishq
Vishk.
