Telugu movie Stalin featured Megastar Chiranjeevi and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles with Prakash Raj, Khushboo Sundar and Sharada Urvashi playing the key roles. The film was loosely inspired from Pay It Forward. The basic plot of the film revolved around a good-will movement and the hero starts it to make the world a better place. The ex-major in the Army played by Chiranjeevi had given a brilliant performance in the film and AR Murugadoss of Ghajini fame had written the screenplay keeping him in the mind.
The brilliant screenplay packed with necessary commercial elements had impressed the audience. But the collection of the film did not reach to the expected level. Hence, the remake plans of the film in other languages were dropped. However, everybody in South were surprised when Salman Khan gave a nod to act in the Bollywood film.
