Can Salman Khan Achieve With Jai Ho What Chiranjeevi Couldn't in Stalin?

Whatever Salman Khan touches seem to be turning gold. The industry and his fans say it. If you look at the collections that his last few movies did and the success that he got from television show Bigg Boss, it is clear that the actor sells more than anybody else in Bollywood irrespective of whether he is appearing in a movie or on small screen. This has led made many traders to raise the question - what made the Dabangg star to accept an average movie referring to his decision to act in the remake of Telugu movie Stalin.

Telugu movie Stalin featured Megastar Chiranjeevi and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles with Prakash Raj, Khushboo Sundar and Sharada Urvashi playing the key roles. The film was loosely inspired from Pay It Forward. The basic plot of the film revolved around a good-will movement and the hero starts it to make the world a better place. The ex-major in the Army played by Chiranjeevi had given a brilliant performance in the film and AR Murugadoss of Ghajini fame had written the screenplay keeping him in the mind.

The brilliant screenplay packed with necessary commercial elements had impressed the audience. But the collection of the film did not reach to the expected level. Hence, the remake plans of the film in other languages were dropped. However, everybody in South were surprised when Salman Khan gave a nod to act in the Bollywood film.
