Ek Villain will be out in theatres tomorrow, June 27, 2014. It is an upcoming romantic-thriller film directed by Mohit Suri starring Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, Riteish Deshmukh makes his debut as an antagonist with this film.
The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under
Balaji Motion Pictures and ALT Entertainment. Producer Ekta Kapoor
spoke about the movie, "Ek Villain is a beautiful tale of aching
and longing rooted in reality; one that will make you smile and cry
at the same time." Riteish Deshmukh for the first time will be seen
in a different light, the actor is known for his comic roles and
comic timing but now the actor will be donning a villain's role. He
told, "I am bored of doing comedies and more than that, I don't
understand what new should I do. I don't know what should I do
which will be different from all that I have already done."
Mohit Suri who has previously made films like Awarapan,
Zeher, Woh Lamhe, Murder-2 and Aashiqui-2 is finally
back with a bang with Ek Villain whose trailer looked very
promising. All the lead actors of the movie Sidharth Malhotra,
Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh have given brilliant
performance as far as the trailers are concerned. Mohit added, "Ek
Villain speaks of a love that wasn't meant to be. The sweet
girl-next-door with fire in her heart and an angry young man
hell-bent on setting the world on fire. This is an unconventional
musical romance born out of angst."
The music of the movie too has topped the charts, especially the
Galliyan song whose unplugged version was sung by Shraddha Kapoor.
Even the Awari song is addictive and has a sufi feel. There are a
number of reasons why you can't miss watching the movie but here
are my top ten reasons why you must just watch Ek Villain.
New And Interesting Pair
Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor are pairing up for the
first time and we must say the couple share a sizzling chemistry.
Their intense lip-lock scene is still the talk of the town.
Mohit Suri is a brilliant director who has given good films like
Awarapan, Zeher, Woh Lamhe, Murder-2 and Aashiqui-2 which were all
blockbuster hits. So the anticipation with this movie is really
high and going by the in-house review, Mohit has delivered yet
The trailer of the movie itself was quite captivating and kept
the audiences wondering who the real villain is. By looking at the
way the trailer was made, one can assure the same level of
captivation even in the movie.
Sidharth Malhotra's Raw Look
The actor has carried a fun and fresh look in his last two
movies but in this he has gone for a raw look and has done some
stunts as well. So seeing him in this different shade is definitely
one of the reason we can't afford to miss watching the
Shraddha Kapoor- The Twist In The Story
Shraddha Kapoor seems to be playing a bubbly role but you never
know when that bubbliness may turn into something else right? With
the rumours going around that she may be the villain, we just can't
miss watching it! Can we?
Riteish Deshmukh As Antagonist
Riteish has always a been part of multi-starrer or comedy
movies, he has a great comic timing, there is no denying that but,
Riteish as an antagonist? It is something that gets us tempted to
watch the movie.
Every song is heart wrenching and addictive. Galliyan has become
quite popular with Shraddha Kapoor singing the unplugged version
and the rest of the songs are also really romantic numbers which
have topped the charts again and again.
Prachi Desai's Awari Song
Prachi Desai's first item number! To top that off she is seen in
a totally hot avatar dancing and swaying to the addictive Awari
Plot Of The Movie
The movie's plot seems quite thrilling, the team has even said
there are no heroes in the movie and only villains. So that's
definitely an interesting angle and worth watching. Ain't
