Censor Board Meeting Pics: Deepika, Anushka, Aamir & Celebs Attend

Bollywood celebrities met with the minister of state for information & broadcasting on Monday, Rajyavardhan Rathore in an attempt to get the the ministry's intervention in connection with issues faced with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Several bigwigs from the industry were present to meet Rathore, Gulzar, Karan Johar, Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Vishal Bharadwaj, Rajkumar Kirani, Anurag Kashyap, Vidya Balan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Mukesh Bhatt, and Shabana Azmi.

After the meeting Mukesh Bhatt said, "We met with Mr Rathore to discuss a range of key issues faced by us due to the latest guidelines issued by the censor board. We told him that the word censor has become very redundant. We asked him whether we are heading back to the dark days."

Aamir Khan revealed, "I&B Minister also told us that it is not a censor board but, it's a certification board." Rathore also added saying, "The government is very clear that it wants scenes and dialogues in context to the script and the film and CBFC will follow that."

The new rules have upset the industry and so they decided to meet with both Arun Jaitley and Rathore to discuss the matters. The film industry feels that the present chief Nihalani has created a ‘hostile' environment.

Sources say, owing to the latest developments, the film fraternity demanded the removal of Nihalani. The minister has now scheduled to meet with the CBFC board members on Tuesday and discuss the issues in detail.

Meanwhile after the meeting was held, actress Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone were seen bonding and kissing each other like they were the new besties in town.
