Hrithik & Kareena have worked together in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001), Yaadein (2001), Mujhse Dosti Karoge (2002) and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003). Their sizzling chemistry on-screen was surely one of the best things that happenedin Bollywood during those days but things started taking a wrong turn when the rumours of their alleged affair started affecting Hrithik's marraige with Sussanne Khan.
Right before Subhash Ghai's Yaadein hit the theatres, rumours regarding Hrithik Roshan-Kareena Kapoor affair began spreading like wildfire. It is also said that when Hrithik Roshan's wife Suzzanne Roshan came to know about this, she left Hrithik's house.
Not only this, Stardust magazine also published a cover story on Hrithik-Kareena's affair, after which Rakesh Roshan planned to sue Stardust. Rakesh Rohan once said in an interview, "The whole article is absolutely false and fabricated. It has not only tarnished the moral reputation of my son Hrithik and my daughter-in-law Suzanne, but also caused us mental agony. Which is why we decided to drag them to court and also claim damages."
After a long time, director Karan Johar had announced that he has roped in Hrithik and Kareena in his upcoming project, Shuddhi but later Hrithik opted out and Kareena too, ditched her close buddy, Karan Johar, as she says and we quote, "The idea of doing Shuddhi was to work with Hrithik (Roshan). Once he decided to opt out, it didn't work for me."
