R Madhavan who turns 45 years old today says he is not scared of ageing. Born on 1st June 1970, the actor still breaks the heart of many young female fans with this charming smile.
"Everytime I have a quiet birthday but this time I am hosting a party where family, close friends from the industry and outside will be coming. Its my way of thanking them for their love, support," he told.
"I am not scared of age at all. I embrace it. Nobody can hide it. And if you are hiding age then it means you are insecure," Madhavan added.
Speaking about his hit films, "I had taken break from work for sometime this year and the year began with Tanu Weds Manu Returns. It was great fun working on this film. I am really happy that the film is getting so much love from the audience."
Madhavan is known to be a family man and the actor treasure the gifts from them more than anyone else, "For me spending time with family and getting warm hug are the most special birthday gifts. My son is 9-year-old and he makes those cute nice greeting card with something written on it for me. I just love it. It melts me. He knows how to win my heart," he said.

Debut In Television
He started his acting career through TV. He did many guest appearances in TV, including a role on the Zee TV prime-time soap opera Banegi Apni Baat in 1996.
Madhavan has done his graduation in electronics and represented India as a cultural ambassador in Canada.
Before his breakthrough in acting career as a romantic actor in 2000, he was married to Sarita Birje and has a young son.

At the Maharashtra workshop, he met his wife Sarita Birje in 1991, an air hostess, who attended his class. After completing the course, the pair began dating and married in 1999, much before his entry into films.
