Shamitabh Promotion Pics: 'DhanuSHAMITABH', Akshara And Balki

Shamitabh starring Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan is all set to make a grand release on February 6. The team is busy promoting the film in all innovative ways possible.

Today Amitabh Bachchan will be the Radio Jockey (RJ) the whole day for one of the most famous radio channel. Shamitabh marks the Bollywood debut of the South Indian star Kamal Haasan's daughter Akshara Haasan.

Director R Balki says, "It is the story of two egos of how two people clash and nobody can be successful indeed. Most people think they can do it alone, most people think they have done it all. It is not like that. Behind every successful person, there is a team."

The team is busy promoting the film. Director Balki revealed that Bollywood's most popular directors - Rajkumar Hirani, Gauri Shinde, Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Anurag Basu will make special appearances in the film.

Director Balki said, "We are extremely excited to have such great talent on board the film ...It's a huge honor for us that they agreed to be part of Shamitabh."

Producers Ekta Kapoor and Boney Kapoor and lyricist Javed Akhtar will also make special appearances in the film. They will all speak about their journey in film-making and also about what it takes into making an actor a star.

The most expected movie of the year which will see legend Amitabh Bachchan in a totally different avatar just like films Paa and Cheeni Kum by the same director.

Dhanush said, "A lot of scripts came my way after Raanjhanaa. I think I read about 33 scripts but there was nothing solid to back up my first Hindi film. I kept waiting for about eight months when R Balki called. He is like 'if you are free for a couple of hours do drop in'."
