Hero movie was a classic hit! We are talking about the 1983 one people! Jackie Shroff, Meenakshi Sheshadri starrer directed by Subhash Ghai became a such a big hit that it changed the lives of everybody involved.
Jackie Shroff became famous as Jackie through this movie, Meenakshi too became a top star and everybody loved Subhash for casting these newcomers who went onto to give great films to Bollywood.
Salman Khan expected a similar thing to happen to his proteges' Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. The film was given so much hype that the final product failed to withstand the expectations of the viewers and critics.
The movie has obtained mixed opinion from viewers, some liked the lead actors' performances while others thought that they didn't do justice to the 1983 flick.
Sooraj and Athiya may become stars tomorrow! Directors and producers may notice their acting capabilities but Hero will become what Saawariya became to Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, a forgettable debut.
The music and songs have become a huge hit but will the film also obtain the same kind of success? Only time will tell!

Yet another Rekha classic which was spoiled by the younger generation. If Aishwarya couldn't come close to Rekha's adaa's, wonder what gave Sonam the confidence that she would be able to do it.

The 1970's adventurous film was a hit, had it been left at that, it would have been great. Instead they remake it with Anupam and Om Puri. Two talented actors were wasted in this otherwise bad film.
