Rock On, which released in the year 2008, was Bollywood's first ever movie dedicated to rock music. Rock On, was a superhit movie and widely appreciated by the audiences & crictics alike. The songs in the movie, were top class and people hum it even today.
Eight years down the line, the makers of Rock On, are shooting for the sequel titled, Rock On 2. The starcast is maintained the same, with only the addition of Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles.
Rock On 2, stars Farhan Akthar, Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny, Purab Kohli, Prachi Desai and Shraddha Kapoor. The newbie Shraddha, would also be a part of the rock band and would sing along with Farhan Akthar.
Recently, Arjun Rampal had confirmed that Rock On 2, would be less of a love story and more of a music related movie. Shraddha Kapoor, is not paired opposite to anyone, as she's only a band member and plays an important role in the movie.
Arjun Rampal was quoted as saying,
"There's not much romance in Rock On 2 because the romance is with the music in the film. So hopefully, you'll see me doing romance with my guitar in Rock On 2."
The stars of Rock On 2, share a lot of pictures on social media from behind the scenes and almost all the pics show them having fun, working hard and also has the hilly Shillong in the backdrop.
Farhan Akthar, an avid music lover, had recently attended a heavy metal concert in Shillong featuring Megadeth, and also posted a picture attending David Gilmour concert while abroad.
Arjun Rampal, Farhan Akthar, and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Rock On 2, is slated to hit the theatres in September 2016. We're sure, just like the prequel, Rock On 2, would also be a musical superhit movie.
