Bollywood has had its fair share of painful, shocking and expensive divorces and the alimony paid to the partners has been huge. From Hrithik Roshan-Sussanne Khan to Karisma Kapoor-Sunjay Kapur and Saif Ali Khan-Amrita Singh, the settlements have been way too big, sad and expensive. Hrithik Roshan and Sussane Khan
After a good 14 years together, Hrithik & Sussanne parted ways and it was rumoured that Sussanne demanded a whopping 400 Crores as alimony, but she denied it and laughed it off. It is rumoured that Hrithik ended up paying a mammoth 380 Crores as settlement to Sussanne, but the lawyers have denied it saying no alimony was ever involved, and the couple just walked off after divorce.
Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur
Karisma Kapoor demanded 7 Crores as alimony from Sunjay Kapur, but the court gave her a big bonus instead. Sunjay had to transfer his posh bungalow in Mumbai in Karisma's name and also had to purchase bonds worth 14 Crores for their children. Each of his kids will receive an interest of Rs 10 lakhs as monthly expenses from the bonds.
Sanjay Dutt and Rhea Pillai
The funny part about the alimony between Sanjay & Rhea is that Sanjay had to pay Rhea's shopping expenses and also cover her phone bills until the divorce was officially granted. After the divorce, Sanjay had to pay Rhea a whopping 8 Crores as alimony and also purchase an expensive luxurious car for her.
Rhea Pillai and Leander Paes
Right after divorcing Sanjay Dutt and getting all the moolah, Rhea Pillai went on with Leander Paes and divorced him too, ending up getting further richer. Leander accused Rhea of cheating on him with a younger cricketer. But still, Rhea demanded Rs 4 lakhs as monthly maintenance, Rs 3 lakhs for her personal maintenance and Rs. 90,000 for their daughter who studies in one of the most expensive schools in Mumbai. Childhood sweethearts Aditya Chopra and Payal Khanna's reason for divorce is not known but the process of their divorce took a very long time as Payal demanded a huge amount of money from Aditya. The alimony given to Payal is kept as a secret, but it is reported as the biggest amount ever given in the history of divorces and alimony in India. Thankfully, he's now hapilly married to Rani Mukerji and the couple is blessed with a daughter, Adira.
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh
Saif & Amrita parted ways after 13 years of marriage, but sadly, Saif had to part half of his wealth to Amrita along with it. She had demanded 7 Crores as alimony but it is rumoured that the court ordered much more from Saif and half of his wealth was transferred to her. The court, Saif and Amrita did not leak the alimony details till date and it's a secret that no one knows.
Prabhudeva and Ramlath
Prabhudeva & Ramlath parted ways in 2001, and the court ordered him to pay alimony by transferring a property to Ramlath which was worth a whopping 20-25 Crores at that time. He also had to purchase two expensive cars for her and add to that, pay 10 Lakhs in cash as a one time alimony settelment.
