On the professional front, the actress will be next seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, which also casts Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.
Padmavati tells the story of Alauddin Khilji (to be played by Ranveer), the medieval-era Delhi ruler, who fell in love with Rajput queen Padmavati (to be played by Deepika).
It is currently scheduled for release on 17 November 2017.
