Mahira Khan Wedding: Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who gained immense popularity in India for her role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2017 film Raees, has recently tied the knot with prominent businessman Salim Karim. The wedding festivities took place in Murree, a city located in Pakistan's Punjab province, and the glimpses of their joyous celebration have taken social media by storm, with their videos and photos going viral on Instagram.

This marks Mahira Khan's second marriage, as she was previously married to Ali Askari in 2007, but the couple divorced in 2015. They had welcomed their son, Azlan Askari, two years into their marriage. It was only in August, during a podcast appearance, that the actress openly discussed her divorce and how she navigated her personal life.

Speaking on the FWhy Podcast, hosted by Pakistani actress and former model Frieha Altaf, Mahira Khan shared insights into her past relationship with Ali. She referred to him as her "childhood sweetheart" and recounted how she had moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17 to be with him. However, their relationship faced challenges in the foreign city. Mahira recalled, "We were always supposed to go to LA since my uncles were already there, but at 17, I insisted that I go early since I was in love and he was there. But, after going there, mujhe meri naani yaad aa gayi (things got difficult for me)."

Several years later, Mahira and Ali reconciled and tied the knot in Lahore in 2007. Their union was blessed with a son, Azlan, whom Mahira affectionately calls Azu. Reflecting on her marriage, Mahira admitted, "Post Azu, I knew my marriage was...even prior I think....But I think you let it go on and you love the person, who is your childhood sweetheart. But I think that was a very painful and difficult time. I was so young at the time. I had a baby, I was scared. Professionally, I was very successful. I never knew I would become successful overnight with Humsafar. But personally, it was a tough time."

In 2017, Ali Askari, employed at MTV Pakistan, entered into his second marriage, exchanging vows with Zara Dadabhoy in a private and intimate ceremony.
