It's
a
known
fact
that
Kareena
Kapoor
charges
a
whopping
price
for
her
films.
No
one's
grudging
her
high
fee
(except
her
rivals?)
and
most
filmmakers
gladly
pay
up.
But it's not all about the money with the actress. The buzz is that actress has agreed to do a song for free for her good buddy, Lovely Singh, who is making his directorial debut with Kya Love Story Hai (starring Tusshar Kapoor and Ayesha Takia), and produced by NR Pachisia.
Friends ki khaatir
Says Kareena, "Lovely is my close friend and I wanted to be a part of his film. So I might be doing a song for him. If I couldn't do something for Lovely, I'd feel really bad. I am very protective about my friends."
Bebo is known to be emotional about friends and that's the reason she will waive off her fee for this 'special appearance'. Lovely, for his part, is trying to make the song worth Kareena's while. The song will be a highly stylised item number and will be shot in an exotic location.
Says Lovely, "We are in talks right now so I can't commit to anything. I've known Kareena since Mujhe Kuchh Kehnaa Hai and Milenge Milenge, as I assisted Satish Kaushik in these films. Only if she does the song will we shoot it. Once she agrees, then we will discuss the song and the concept with her. It's very important that the comfort level of the star is there while performing the dance."
Tusshar, who is shooting for Kya Love Story Hai in Cape Town, says, "It's a simple love story and revolves around three characters - Ayesha Takia, a newcomer Karan Hukku and myself. Although the story is very simple, the way in which the characters reach their destinations is very unique. We have a certain picture in our mind as to who we imagine our partner in life to be, but what we really want and whom we finally fall in love with can be something very different."
Adds Lovely, "The film will be a start-to-finish schedule and will be shot entirely in Cape Town. We have already shot one song in Mumbai."
Lucky dost
Tushar adds, "Lucky is a friend and I've known him since the Mujhe Kuchh Kehnaa Hai days. He is a very creative guy. He has a very fresh and modern approach to filmmaking. When I heard the story, I liked the way he had interwoven the screenplay from such a simple love story. The one line intro of the film is very simple, but the way the story actually unfolds is what sets the movie apart from other love stories. We haven't seen a young love story like this in recent times."
And with Kareena adding her own spice to the film with her dance number, Kya Love Story Hai might just turn out to be the love flavour of the season.
