By now, the news has spread like wild fire that Anupam Kher plays a corpse in soon to be released Buddha Mar Gaya. But are you aware that he is not the first actor to be playing a corpse for a major part of a film?

Ok, so it's a known fact that years back in Kundan Shah's classic Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Satish Shah played a corpse for an entire second half of the film. As a corrupt government officer who is bumped off by the baddies, Satish Shah's corpse was made to roam around an entire Mumbai by Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, Ravi Vaswani and many other funny characters in the film.

What is not known is that very recently Shakti Kapoor also enacted a similar character! The film was Sanjay Dutt-Saif Ali Khan Nehlle Pe Dehlle where Shakti played a comic baddie who got killed but was required to be kept alive by Sanjay and Saif.

The film was a disaster at the box office but the select few who saw it had wholesome appreciation for Shakti Kapoor and his funny antics as a dead man. In fact one couldn't imagine anyone other than Shakti Kapoor to be able to carry off such a role. His 3 decades of experience worked for him as he played a dead man quite well with his body language and changing facial expressions working for the movie in a big way.

With Satish Shah and Shakti Kapoor having a great time as dead men, one expect Anupam Kher to be following suit as he joins the funny dead world!
