Chak
De!
India
is
Sagarika
Ghatge's
first
film
and
she's
got
a
host
of
incidents
to
remember
the
film.
One
of
them
occurred
while
shooting
in
Australia,
when
the
debutante
sneaked
out
of
her
room
to
check
out
Melbourne's
nightlife.
Laughs
Sagarika,
"It
was
our
first
day
and
we'd
been
forbidden
to
go
out.
The
city
was
so
cool
that
I
just
had
to
sneak
out,
only
to
bump
into
Shimit
(Amin,
the
director)!
I
was
so
scared
that
I
just
turned
around
and
ran.
I
stopped
only
after
I
reached
my
room!
But
to
my
surprise,
Shimit
was
casual
about
it
the
next
morning!"
Checking
out
Sagarika
insists
she
wasn't
skipping
the
shoot.
"I'm
glad
Shimit
didn't
get
angry.
It's
been
great
working
with
him
and
we've
learnt
a
lot.
He
has
a
great
sense
of
humour
and
can
pull
a
fast
one
with
such
a
straight
face!"
Sagarika
says
she
was
a
national-level
athlete
before
stepping
into
films.
"I
was
into
athletics,
but
I
always
wanted
to
act.
However,
my
father
wanted
me
to
finish
graduation
first," she
says.
Sagarika
insists
she's
a
die-hard
SRK
fan.
"I
loved
working
with
him.
One
time,
he
waited
up
till
the
wee
hours
of
the
morning
to
ensure
that
two
of
us
girls
got
our
confrontation
scene
right.
SRK
taught
me
that
the
key
to
success
is
humility
and
a
quest
for
perfection."
