After turning the heads of the much-revered Bachchan family to anger, Hritik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai will be at it again in Jodhaa Akbar. The film has some intimate love scenes that, by the standards that the Bachchan's set the first time when they opposed the Hritik - Ash kiss in Dhoom 2, will surely spurn the same response.
This time around, Aishwarya is the official Bachchan bahu. Atleast, the last time they weren't married yet - that puts a total different twist to things. Well after much ado about the scene in Dhoom 2, Yash Raj removed the scene from the final copy of the film. So this time to prevent any such last minute changes by the powerful Bachchan's, Jodhaa Akbar director Ashutosh Gowarikar has sen to it that there is no reason for Ash's family to raise their arms up in anger.
One of the unit members have said that the scenes have been handled well by the director but with two of the hottest actors in Bollywood acting in a passionate scene you cant really tone it down can you. It seems that just chemistry is so strong between the two in the scenes that is accounts to more than what the Dhoom 2 kiss amounts to.
The other catch is that all these scenes were shot before Aishwarya became the Bachchan bahu so no one really has a right to complain, do they? But wait a minute ...didn't Bachchan Jr. too have his share of lip locks in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. Yes he did. And he kissed both his co stars when Ash is facing the brunt is kissing only one.
Otherwise it seems that Bollywood is reeling under the kissing phenomenon. They somehow seem to believe that no news can be made unless two people lock lips. Take the Cristiano Ronaldo - Bipasha Basu Kiss, the Mika - Rakhi Sawant kiss or even if you take Kashmira Shah and Abhishek at comedian Govinda's daughter's birthday party, the kiss surely has become the ticket to atleast being talked about.
But our friend Salman Khan seems to have stayed away from that crowd, categorically refusing to kiss his Marigold co-star Ali Larter. And out of all people, actress Neha Dhupia has come out to say that she feels awkward kissing. But of course she draws the line at saying that she'll do it only if the story requires it. Serial Kisser Emraan Hashmi has kissed not even once in his latest flick Awarapan.
The moral of the story: The kissers got their fame and name and the non-kissers are out to get the same. Agree?
