Ravi Kissen in Troubled Waters

Ravi Kisen may have bagged the film Gabbar in Ekta Kapoor's production, but, contrary to the common belief, life is not all that rosy with Ravi Kissen these days. The year doesn't seem to be good at all for the loveable Ravi of the now famous Bigg Boss house.

First, Ravi missed winning the Indian version of Big Brother and for now he hasn't even received the rewards for the promotions that his Bhojpuri films got owing to his participation in the Bigg Boss. What is worse, he has even been denied of any special award for his contribution towards promoting Bhojpuri films!

The Bhojpuri film awards, which felicitate people from the industry, aren't going to honour Ravi for his deeds. When asked to comment on this, Bhojpuri Film Awards chairman Vinod Gupta was straightforward, "The awards are meant for the commendable work done in and for the Bhojpuri cinema. It is given only for good performances and nothing else." So, hasn't Ravi any good performance in any of his Bhojpuri films this year?

Well Vinod we understand your views and also appreciate them. But the kind of recognition Ravi Kissen has been able to give your genre of cinema through his participation in the Bigg Boss, no other person from the fraternity could ever even dream of providing. Considering that Ravi is the superstar in the Bhojpuri industry, it is his duty to provide the industry with more and more viewer base. But then, if the industry gives him only pains and not gains, why would the SRK of Bhojpuri put in so much effort when he has other things to do. Are we correct, Ravi?
