Shahrukh Khan in Slumdog Millionaire

It looks like everybody wants to have a piece of Shahrukh Khan. On the heel of the stupendous success of Chak De India, Shahrukh is in the news again. The grapevine is abuzz with the news that he may play a small but important role in British filmmaker Danny Boyle"s next film titled Slumdog Millionaire.

The film is all about a Mumbai slum kid, who takes part in the TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati not for anything else, but to catch the attention of a girl, who attends the contest everyday. It is rumoured that Danny might cast King Khan in this love story for the simple reason that he host the show in real life. Slumdog Millionaire stars newcomer Dev Patel in the lead role and Simon Beaufoy has written the story.

Meanwhile, Shahrukh is in the limelight again with his film Om Shanti Om getting ready for release this Diwali. He has appeared shirtless with six-pack abs for the film. This Farah Khan directed film has actress Deepika Padukone in the female lead role.
