The mighty 'King Khan' might not agree, but figures prove that Shah Rukh's KBC is slowly, but surely losing its ground.
According to Economic Times, Kaun Banega Crorepati Kaun started off on a steady note, but has been slipping steadily. If statistics are to be believed, KBC III is witnessing a steady decline from episode to episode.
When it was decided that Shah Rukh Khan would host Kaun Banega Crorepati III, there was great pressure on the actor Shah Rukh to 'perform'. This was expected as the show was earlier hosted by Amitabh, Bollywood's finest actor!
Shah Rukh decided to fit himself into the shoes of Big B, making sure that he maintained a distinct style of his own. SRK's 'unique' style of massaging contestants and romancing on Television has not gone down too well will all! Though SRK's style is mainly targeted at the youngsters, he has probably forgotten that KBC is viewed not just by the youth, but also enjoyed by people in all age groups.
Well, no doubt SRK is good, but it seems like to the common man that there is a battle of hierarchy that is being fought in the mind of Shah Rukh against none other than Big B. In fact, this is very obvious when Bachchan had also remarked that comparisons with a younger star only inspired him to act better so that Khan could imitate him!
Now the news doing the rounds is that Zee TV has engaged Big B to be the anchor of a new game show for its new entertainment channel 'Zee Next' to upstage KBC.
If that happens, wonder if SRK stands a chance!
