"The [patch up] decision cannot be taken individually. This one's quite complicated, since the two families are involved now. There's no truth to the news-report about our teaming together. There's no project on the cards either," Kareena tells me. On hindsight, did she feel offended when Priyanka Chopra stepped in her shoes after Abhishek expressed uneasiness while the casting of Dostana was underway? "I have moved on. Karan [Johar] is a brother and he has offered me a far more challenging role in his next film that will be directed by Rensil D'Silva," she says.
What about her panga with John Abraham? "There's no panga with John actually," she laughs, "In fact, we might be working in a film. The Mehtas of Ashtavinayak are producing it." And Hrithik? Reportedly, even Hrithik requested Zoya Akhtar to look for a replacement. "Not true! Actually, that project never took off. But there's no problem with Duggu. I refuse to buy this story [of wanting her ouster from the project]."
Another rumour doing the rounds is that she's getting married next year. "No, no, no... Not for another five years at least. Saif has just turned producer, he needs to concentrate on his career. I too am going through an exciting phase and don't want to get distracted by anything right now," she smiles.
