Katrina likely for a meaty role

Katrina Kaif is the most sought after actresses in Bollywood today. Ever since she has seen success coming her way with each of the films like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Namastey London, Apne, Partner, Welcome, Race and now Singh Is Kinng that she has been a part of, her career has been going great guns.

The pretty lass is bagging plum roles in reputed production houses. She is already working for her some of her prestigious forthcoming ventures like Shree Astvinayak's Sanjay Dutt starrer Blue, Subhash Ghai's Salman starrer Yuvraaj, Rajkumar Santoshi's Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ajab Ghazab Ki Prem Kahani and Prakash Jha's Rajniti.

And now the charming lady is being considered for one of the most memorable roles. According to the latest reports in the tinsel town, Kats is being considered to play the character of bubbly and charming Bindu of original Padosan in the remake of Padosan. This remake would star Sanjay Dutt in the character of music teacher friend Guruji; Riteish Deshmukh in the character of simpleton Bhola, who is madly in love with Bindu, Paresh Rawal in the character of South Indian music teacher Masterji of Bindu. In the original Padosan, Sanjay Dutt's late father Sunil Dutt had played the character of simpleton Bhola but here Riteish will play Sunil Dutt's character and Sanjay will play Kishore Kumar's character. While Paresh will portray Mehmood's character than Katrina in the place of Saira Banu's character.

The remake was announced long back and was stalled because of Sanjay's date problems. But now Sanjay has given a green signal to the makers and the shooting of the film will commence from early 2009. It is heard that Neeraj Vora shall be writing and directing this remake.
