Hrithik not part of Shyam Benegal's Buddha?

While there were a lot of talks about living legend Shyam Benegal directing superhero Hrithik Roshan for his international project, Buddha, there is still some uncertainty regarding the matter. Though press releases claimed the union of Benegal and Hrithik Roshan, the person at the helm of affairs, Shyam Benegal says that there are no plans of any talks with Hrithik till the script is ready. The legendary director hastens to add that Hrithik Roshan is a good-looking man who would definitely look like Gautam Buddha.

At present Benegal is busy with his next venture, starring Shreyas Talpade and Amrita Rao, Mahadev Ka Sajjanpur. It's a comedy in which Shreyas plays a villager, who makes money by writing letters for the illiterates.

Shyam Benegal and comedy! Quite surprising and interesting, though we are certain that the maverick director will pull off this genre as well!
