Ranbir-Deepika’s split a blessing for Rocket Singh

They say no publicity is bad publicity. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone must be having hard time with the jounos keep asking them about their alleged break-up, but it has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Ranbir"s latest offering Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year, where he acts with newcomer Shazahn Padamsee.

The makers of Rocket Singh didn"t promote the film aggressively and director Shimit Amin defended that it was to arouse curiosity amongst the public. But the truth is, a good opening requires good publicity however big a film is. Luckily, the break-up rumours of its lead actor with his girlfriend Deepika came handy.

Don"t know how true the splitting story is but it has surely pushed Ranbir into the minds of the people. Who knows if he deliberately refused to clarify the rumours, knowing that it would bring good fortune to his film.
