Badmaash Company altered to avoid controversy

By By Raymond Ronamai

The much-hyped film Badmaash Company has got into trouble even before completing its shooting. The news is doing the rounds that Aditya Chopra has killed a character in the film for fear of unnecessary controversy.

It is said that a character in the film was based on stamp paper scam mastermind Abdul Karim Telgi, who has been staying behind the bars since his arrest in 1991. However, sensing the possible controversy the character could create, the makers of the film decided to drop it in spite of completing its shooting. Sources also said that the plot didn"t help much to the over-all outcome of the film, as it slowed down its pace.

Badmaash Company featuring Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles is produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Parmeet Sethi.
