While
the
John
Abraham
starrer
Jhootha
Hi
Sahi
had
hit
theaters
with
the
fans
of
the
actor
harboring
a
lot
of
expectations,
the
film
has
come
across
as
a
modified
version
of
Rab
Ne
Bana
Di
Jodi,
feel
critics.
Though
the
basic
storyline
is
different,
the
character
portrayed
by
John
Abraham
plays
smart
when
he
is
over
the
phone
speaking
to
his
girlfriend,
but
gets
tightlipped
once
when
he
has
to
face
her.
Does
that
remind
us
of
a
certain
Surinder
Sahni
from
a
certain
Rab
Ne
Bana
Di
Jodi?
While
John
Abraham"s
girlfriend,
played
by
Pakhi
Tyrewala
in
the
film,
refers
to
him
as
Clarke
Kent,
neither
John
nor
Jhootha
Hi
Sahi
could
soar
up
to
the
skies
like
Superman.
The
storyline
revolves
around
Siddharth
(John
Abraham),
whose
phone
number,
due
to
some
technical
glitch
gets
mistakenly
replaced
by
a
suicide
helpline
number.
And
while
Siddharth
is
busy
solving
suicidal
problems,
he
chances
upon
Mishka
(Pakhi
Tyrewala)
who
too
seeks
his
help
while
trying
to
end
her
life.
And
it
is
through
their
phone
calls
that
the
two
get
closer
by
the
day,
Siddharth
also
meeting
the
girl
he
loves,
though
without
revealing
his
identity.
Like
several
other
romantic
comedies,
Jhootha
Hi
Sahi
too
becomes
predictable
as
the
story
progresses.
The
music
scored
by
A
R
Rahman
is
not
up
to
the
mark
but
can
pass
off
as
good.
It
is
John
Abraham
and
Pakhi
Tyrewala
who
steal
the
attention
of
the
viewers.
