Bollywood
takes
the
centre
stage
at
almost
all
the
big
events
in
India.
But
for
a
change,
the
much-awaited
Commonwealth
Games
2010
will
keep
away
from
Bollywood
masala.
It
was
rumoured
that
Shahrukh
Khan
would
perform
at
the
opening
ceremony
of
the
event
on
October
3
but
the
organisers
confirmed
that
the
actor,
or
any
other
Bollywood
actor
for
that
matter,
would
not
perform.
Instead,
Indian
dance,
songs
and
culture
will
be
showcased
at
the
CWG
opening
ceremony
at
the
Jawaharlal
Nehru
Stadium.
However,
Oscar
winning
composer
A.R.
Rahman
will
be
performing
a
few
songs
including
the
latest
version
of
the
CWG
anthem.
