Ajay
Devgn
is
apparently
charging
a
whooping
18
crores
for
Vashu
Bhagnani's
forthcoming
film,
to
be
directed
by
Sajid
Khan.
The
film
will
be
a
remake
of
1983
super
hit
Himmatwala.
The
decision
to
increase
his
fee
from
6-8
crores
to
18
crores
has
apparently
been
taken
following
the
success
of
Ajay's
recent
film
Singham.
Ajay
Devgn,
who
made
his
debut
in
1991
with
Phool
Aur
Kaante
has
withstood
the
bad
weather
and
has
delivered
back
to
back
hits
in
the
recent
years
-
Golmaal
3,
All
The
Best,
Atithi
Tum
Kab
Jaoge,
Rajneeti
and
Once
Upon
A
Time
In
Mumbai.
Though
most
actors
have
increased
their
fee
over
the
years,
Ajay
Devgn
charged
between
Rs
6-8
crore
per
project,
in
spite
of
being
one
of
the
most
bankable
actors
in
Bollywood.
According
to
a
source,
Singham
earned
a
profit
of
over
Rs
100
crore,
thereby
multiplying
Ajay's
market
value.
However,
when
a
leading
English
daily
contacted
Devgn's
manager,
he
refused
to
comment.
